About the Item
This coffee table is a unique work of contemporary design by artist and designer Joseph Ellwood for his brand Six Dots Design. This captivating coffee table is made from a slab of Teak that has been hand charred to protect and preserve it for indoor and outdoor environments. When making this piece, Ellwood imagined a cool contemporary apartment with modernist black sofas and this piece as a centre piece with a few architectural books scattered on top of it. The Teak is accented with Ellwood's signature aluminium.
Joseph Ellwood is a British artist and designer working under the studio name: Six Dots Design. Joseph has been named one of 10 'Future Icons' in design by Wallpaper* magazine, collaborated with the luxury brand Rimowa, making the 'contemporary suitcase'. With these accolades at only 25 years old, each of his pieces are not only exquisite works of art but a safe and exciting investment for the future.
Each of our pieces is hand made, therefore slight variation from object to object can be expected.
