Les Prismatiques Rare Lucite and Glass Rectangular Coffee or Cocktail Table
About the Item
Made in the 1970s, this coffee table was produced by Les Prismatiques, who focused primarily on lucite and glass in their products. Made of thick sheets of clear lucite and glass, this coffee table is very stable and sturdy, and for its age, it has held up very well. The lucite has no yellowing at all, uncommon for lucite of the era, and came out of a multi-million dollar home in Long Island, where it was treated very well.
New York based Les Prismatiques was founded by Ralph Gambaro and became known for it's creative approach to design and materials for furniture during the late 20th century. Gambarao introduced lines of furniture in colored acrylic, lucite and other materials. Les Prismatiques furniture remains popular today.
Minor signs of light use, including scuffs and a tiny, hard to photograph chip on one of the platforms for the class. Glass is brand new and will be procured upon purchase. Please allow a week or two lead time.
