Live Edge Solid Elm Wood Coffee Table 1950s
A true gem this is, this live edge coffee table. Made by an unknown woodworker in the 1950s, in beautiful solid Elm wood. Its appearance shows similarity to the work of George Nakashima, one of the greatest woodworkers of the midcentury era.
The shape of this one-off is elegant and natural, and the wood grain of the single piece top is just gorgious. With the warm tone of the wood, it has a friendly and lively character. The tapered legs are positioned slightly angled, giving this table a floating look. It has great proportions, it is well sized yet with a pleasant lightness to it.
This piece will combine wonderfully with any modern or contemporary interior.
