About the Item
A 1950/60’s ‘Ski’ form coffee table by Ewart Myer for Horatio Myer and Co
Two tier with a sleigh walnut bentwood top and magazine rack shelf to the bottom.
Ewart designs a rather unique coffee table.
Taking inspiration during the height of the mid-century modern craze in 1955, he designs a Danish inspired bent plywood piece, aptly named - the ‘Ski’ Table.
Several variations of the design can be found today.
One short occasional table, a longer coffee table and a rather interesting table with a hole created to hold a snack bowl.
Here we have the long coffee table model.
This striking coffee table has walnut veneers and a very unusual ski or sled style design.
Tapered legs and frame in beech.
Stunning walnut grain throughout
It was designed by Ewart Myer for Horatio Myer and Co in 1955 and features an under-shelf for books and magazines.

Fully restored condition
Still some wear might be still visible.
