Monumental 1980's Rectangular Lucite and Glass Coffee Table
About the Item
This lovely table was purchased at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago in the 1980's (showroom unknown). It has a Charles Hollis Jones vibe but it is unsigned. It features a lucite base with a sculptural quality (35.5"W x 18.5"D x 15.25"H) and a thick glass top that has a beveled edge. The overall dimensions are 65.5"W x 46"D x 15.75"H.
The lucite is clear and bright. The glass table top has some light scratches but no chips. It is in very good, unaltered, original condition.
I've done a bit of searching but haven't yet determined the designer or manufacturer. It appears to be a rather unique style or perhaps a one-of-a-kind piece.
