About the Item

Extremly rare and exceptional pair of luminous coffee tables, from the 70s, attributed to Françoise Gilot. . France. . These mirror tables, signed by the artist 1/25 and 2/25 below the tables (additional photos on request), and autographed, are lit by a neon system which is activated by an on/off button. . Long before Ivan Navaro or Emmanuelle Rybojad more recently, she had the ingenuity to create these coffee tables, mirrors, luminous, which are as beautiful lit as off. . This was avant-garde and the rendering is exceptional. . As you can see on the photos, some shocks are apparent but in no way detract from the beauty of these marvels. Again, feel free to ask me for additional photos. . They can be perfectly integrated into all types of interiors and or exteriors. . They are powered by power leads that are long enough to position them however you like. . With these minimalist coffee tables, she worked with light, mirrors and glowing glass neon tubes to create socially and politically relevant sculptures and installations. .
