The Re Quatro coffee table is an iconic piece that ushered in the 1980s– a period with a wealth of strong, daring stylistic features, often in dialogue with architecture. The black lacquered top forms two layers of an inverted pyramid as the form cascades into itself to meet a central travertine plinth base. The pyramid structure offered recurring inspiration for Piva.
