About the Item

Outstanding solid bronze coffee table by Valerian Rybar & Jean François Daigre. Valerian Rybar, of Yugoslav origin, knew the “café society” through his wife Eileen Plunkett. This is how he made the first decor for the Quinta des Patiño in Portugal. The association of two decorators began in the late sixties. They not only became decorators of what is now called the "jet set" but also the directors of the biggest balls and social events. First assistant to the theater designer Jacques Dupont, Jean-François Daigre began after the war to work for Christian Dior. He created luxury men's clothing there unheard of like for example an otter blazer.
