Stratum Wave Coffee Table

About the Item

Inspired by nature, our wave coffee table is a graceful expression of balanced asymmetry in perfect equilibrium. Crisp lines, undulating curves, and dynamic light play defines our work. The form is accentuated by the exposed layers of Baltic birch plywood, lending to the table's ultra-modern appearance. We intend each piece to come into your home as a piece of functional art, where it will last you generations. This table is a practical piece placed at the bedsides or next to a couch. The striking form of the tables in this series becomes a prominent presence in any room. And the options we've supplied above are only just scratching the surface for what we can do with this design, let us know what you envision. We can offer additional practical features such as embedded power supply and a small tucked away drawer if you wish. Our Geneva furniture design team is standing by to make your vision a reality. We welcome custom orders, and encourage your creativity to create something unique! Each piece of furniture we sell comes with a unique serial number engraved in brass on the bottom of the piece, and a certificate of authenticity.

Wave Coffee Table by Kasanai Dimensions: D 72 x W 55 x H 46 cm. Materials: Oak, mixed material (cement, recycled paper, glue, and paint). 12 kg The visual inspiration for the coffee table is a combination of natural wood and concrete. These two opposite materials combined, create a unique character of the product that has the coldness of concrete and the coziness of wood. The tabletop is made of natural oak, and the base of the table, resembling concrete in appearance, is made by pouring solid mass. The set task was technologically challenging - it was necessary to fuse wet mass and moisture-sensitive wood. The entire structure of the table is manufactured at the same time, so that the two materials join together smoothly and precisely to avoid any gaps. After the product dries, it is scrubbed, and the tabletop is oiled. The black concrete-like material is the result of various experiments. It is a mixture of several components: an eco-friendly of cement, recycled paper, glue, and paint. Dried it becomes as strong as wood, it resembles concrete but is slightly elastic, so it does not split or crumble. The result is a natural texture and strength that ensures durability.
