ICEBERG TABLE 1 Studio Greytak pays homage to unseen depths of spirituality with Iceberg Table 1. A rich violet amethyst, the gem revered for eons by those seeking enlightenment, sparkles in a sea of glass. From above, its deep cavern displays rhombohedral crystals that dance in the light, so numerous and diverse that each glance will reveal an almost entirely new landscape. A brilliant blue agate wall circles the stone, a soothing buffer between the divine and the physical. Below, the massive geode floats delicately on a base of solid bronze, grounded by a stunning frame of rare walnut burl. In eastern and western cultures, the amethyst spins a path to the divine. The six-sided crystal provides a “shield of spiritual light” and aids in communion with sacred realms. Religious leaders, royalty and those seeking enlightenment have always held it close. Associated with the crown chakra, amethyst is the perfect stone to assist in meditation. It is a powerful tool for activating the mind, overcoming addiction, and eliminating negativity in one’s environment. Ancient Sumerians used copper- and tin-rich rocks to build campfire rings.
