A very rare and unique opportunity to purchase this super popular military campaign coffee table with as mentioned central brass plaque which quotes Jonathan Swift, the poem reads as follows
"I OFTEN WISHED THAT I HAD CLEAR, FOR LIFE SIX HUNDRED POUNDS A YEAR, A HANDSOME HOUSE TO LODGE A FRIEND, A RIVER AT MY GARDENS END"
The table has been fully restored by my French polisher and it is in better than new condition throughout with only good honest signs of patina
