About the Item
A beautiful and most decorative pair of Italian 19th century Venetian st. Mecca, polychrome and faux painted marble consoles. Each wall mounted console is raised by an elegantly scrolled single central leg with a handsome richly carved paw foot and lovely finely detailed blooming colorful polychrome flowers. Above the leg is a beautiful seashell centered by wonderful pierced foliate designs all below the striking wonderfully executed faux painted marble top framed within a Mecca band with a fine mottled border. All original Mecca and patina throughout.
