Pair of Demilune Console Tables with Marquetry Inlay
About the Item
Elegant pair of demi-lune console tables or center table made in the federal style. The tables feature veneered tops with amazing marquetry inlay on the frieze. Each table has an inlay design of a stylized mythical dragon with scrolls on the frieze. The tables are supported by tapered legs with delicate thread satinwood inlay. The tables can be placed together to form a center table with a depth of 36 inches. The finish showcases the rich woodgrain patterns with a fine craquelure that commensurate the age. Beautifully crafted with a handsome profile. The tables are solid and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a pair.
