19th Century Wood and Marble Antique French Secrétaire Bureau Desk, 1820
About the Item
Antique French secrétaire from the first half of the 19th century. Furniture of beautiful line and great elegance veneered in walnut, palisander, maple and exotic wood adorned with geometric inlay. Furniture enriched with fabulous original marble with a considerable weight and a thickness of 3 cm (see photo). Secrétaire for living room or studio, for antique dealers and interior designers, equipped with a drawer, fall front top and two lower doors (see photo). Lower doors slightly rounded by time (to be pressed). Interior of the sideboard complete with a shelf. Interior of the fall-front equipped with 6 small drawers, 5 document compartments and desk top covered in leather with various signs of wear and tear (to be replaced. Slide mechanism of the fall-front to be restored (see photo) now supported by chains (see photo). Furniture complete with a working key for both locks. Beautiful patina secrétaire with various signs of aging To be restored.
