About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this Ebby Gehl office desk retailed through John Lewis in solid oak with chrome base Made from solid oak, this stunning desk has a smooth and sleek finish. The desk features metallic legs, and opens up to reveal hidden draws and desk space - perfect for creating a contemporary office. Leading Danish designer Ebbe originally trained as a cabinet maker in Copenhagen, completing his apprenticeship with highest honours. He went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' School of Design and to lecture at Edinburgh College of Art, before setting up Nissen & Gehl with Søren Nissen. The partners are committed to sustainability, and believe that "nothing is less ecological than a product with a short shelf-life". Winners of many international awards, their unique and functional furniture has been exhibited in Europe, Japan and the USA and their Naver Collection cemented their reputation for sleek, contemporary Danish design.
