French Mid-Century Desk in Black Lacquer with Brass Details by Jean Claude Mahey
About the Item
Straight-lined desk in a clear design by French designer Jean Claude Mahey.
The object is made entirely of beech wood and is very heavy.
The desk has 3 drawers with folding brass handles.
The top plate has an all-round brass inlay decoration that is 1.5 cm wide. The brass decoration applied to the front and back edges is 3.5 cm wide.
The desk has simple lines and lives from the black high-gloss piano lacquer with its brass accents.
The desk has been painstakingly re-lacquered, as these objects show signs of damage and scratches in the lacquered surface after 50 years of use.
The desk is therefore in very good condition with a perfect surface.
This model by Jean Claude Mahey is a timeless, very chic object and very hard to find.
