Italian Baroque Style Desk Lacquered by Artist Ira Yeager
About the Item
Whimsical charming diminutive scale Italian writing table, desk, or vanity made in the Baroque taste. The table features a later lacquered finish by artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022). The serpentine shaped top has an ogee edge and appears to have been used as an artist's palate with a spattering of random colorful acrylic paints on the top. The desk is fronted by shaped drawers decorated with floral, foliate, and acanthus scrolls. The elegant, long cabriole legs have decorative carvings ending with scrolled feet.
