Louis XV style folding desk with one drawer. An exceptional Louis XV style desk, made of early Italian antique oak wood. This piece screams high quality. Beautiful grain and patina. Spider legs, elegant shields / pulls with two drawers and drop-down desk revealing interior compartments and drawers. Original key, around 1950, this is an exceptional piece of furniture. Measurements: Height 90.5cm x width 71.5cm x depth 38.7cm. Total depth 61cm with the desk top down. Condition report: Detailed condition: Very good. This vintage item has no defects, but it may show slight traces of use. Restoration and damage details. Light wear consistent with age and use.     Carved in southern France, circa 1760, the fold out secretary is both stylish and functional; the elegant writing desk crafted from solid walnut, stands on cabriole legs over a scalloped apron and dressed with bombe drawer across the front embellished with the original patinated bronze handles.
