About the Item
A very fine late 19th century French mahogany and gilt bronze mounted bureau plat. Original leather top. Magnificent quality gilt bronze mounts. Retailed and stamped by Rinck 115 FRG St Antoine Paris.
Rinck began in 1841 when cabinetmaker Jean Rinck opened his first workshop in the French town of Alsace. Since then the brand -now run by Father and son Thierry and Valentine Goux have been a provider of fine French furniture for politicians royals and other well-heeled clientele.
