Mahogany Freestanding Desk Attributed to Lysberg & Hansen of Copenhagen

About the Item

A freestanding mahogany desk attributed to Lysberg and Hansen. The desk is finely carved with floral motif and rosettes to each pedestal, the central drawer has a reeded pattern with a classical urn in the middle with the key hole. Each pedestal has a oak lined interior with a shelf. Lysberg and Hansen is a noted Danish furniture maker, upholstery business, decorator and interior design business based in Copenhagen. Originally called Lysberg & Hansen, and later Lysberg, Hansen & Therp A/S Royal. The company has held both Danish and Swedish Royal Warrants.
