Fresh over from England, this small side desk provides function in tiny spaces. Probably made sometime around the year 1960, this piece works equally well in both the office, bedroom, or living room. Whether used to compliment an existing desk or provide a little work space out of the way, this desk can do it! While the overall scale of the desk is quite small, it provides big function! Eight small drawers up top and one larger drawer below create space for storing clutter and work tools. A light brown leather makes up the writing surface. Leather makes the ideal writing surface. Finally, a scalloped edge around the very top provides added elegance. Crafted from yew wood, this desk exudes a light and airy feel. A serpentine shaped front also adds to the look. Meanwhile, small brass ring pulls on the large drawer make a great contrast to the yew wood. Simple square wood moldings around the feet and upper legs lend a Regency style look to the small side desk. Overall, the condition of this piece remains good. There are a variety of small wear marks present. The leather has sustained a small spot to it. Also, the front edge has a couple of small chips.
