About the Item

This German desk is part of the Profilsystem collection, designed by Elmar Flötotto for the Flötotto brand in the 1980s. The principle behind the Profilesystem is simple. The set comes with different elements that you can place exactly as you want it. This set consists of a desk with a smaller cabinet to put underneath, a chest of drawers with four drawers, a cabinet with a door and three cabinets with a shelf. With these separate elements you can create an endless number of setups. They become towers, islands or functional walls. Thanks to the stacking corners and connecting plates, they are stable and can be separated again at any time. Still produced today, this is a high-quality piece with profiles in natural beech wood. The wood is sanded round on all sides and screwed to a full-frame construction with specially developed corner joints. The color of the surface is white, unique and very typical of this period. The wood is in original and good condition.
