A fine and very rare complete dining set of carved Black Forest style Oak Furniture, circa 1880. This fabulous set is all original with no restoration and has always been together WE OFFER FREE SHIPPING TO ANY DESTINATION ON THIS FINE SET Consisting of. - A beautiful buffet with open shelves above, cupboards and drawers below. A fine "hutch" / bookcase with doors and drawers, having a glazed upper section enclosing fully adjustable shelves. which could easily be used as a gun cabinet. We can do the conversion if you would like. An extending dining table raised on an outstanding base depicting a Deer, Boar, Fox and a Hunting Hound all in full relief! A good set of eight matching dining chairs. All pieces are profusely hand carved with Game and Fish in the panels. To complete the theme there are also many mythical beasts and lion masks nestling amongst the fine decorative carving. Please note. The extending dining table has two extra "leaves" but could take a third. The leaves which are original to the set are in a secondary wood which is normal as no self respecting European household would at the time have entertained without using a tablecloth!
