Exceptional Brutalist Oregon Pine Dining Room Set by Arch. Frank Verplanken 1991

About the Item

This triangular shaped dining set in oregon pine with amazing grain was created by Belgian architect Frank Verplanken for his own modernist dome shaped house in Destelbergen built in 1991. Frank Verplanken was taught by the famous Juliaan Lampens whilst studying at Sint-Lucas, Ghent and this had a major impact on his later work and particularly when it came to build his own home. He took the Lampens concept and mixed it with his own personal style and vision, one that was influenced by the work of Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. Inspiration from Japanese and Scandinavian architecture is also present in the finished house too. A unique opportunity to own this unique piece of Belgian architectural heritage.
