10' long Swedish Farm Table Made From Repurposed Douglas Fir & Ponderosa Pine
About the Item
Ready for immediate delivery this 10' Swedish Trestle Base Farm Table was inspired from an original Gustavian table in our inventory dating from the early 1800's
The wood top is constructed from 100 year old Douglas Fir planks sourced from Northern Idaho. Wood for the trestle bases, fabricated in repurposed 100 year old Ponderosa pine is from the same area. The wood was used to construct forest service roads and bridges in Northern Idaho, Washington and Montana in the last century for the lumber industry. The metal stretcher is fabricated in twisted aluminum that is painted black to look like iron. The wood was not planned but left in its natural state and was burnished so that the surface is soft to the touch and sealed with multiple layers of tung oil varnish. This table can be used outdoors under cover. Seats 10, 8 chairs can be tucked in when not in use.

Table can be made in various sizes with this wood as the top up to 10' long, twisted metal stretcher is unique to this particular table as are the trestle bases. We have the wood to make additional tops but the bases will be painted in the Gustavian manner with a wood stretcher between the trestles.
