18th C. Danish Baroque Pine Table or Desk

About the Item

Unlike the extravagant, ornate carvings and gilding of typical French and Italian Baroque furniture, this table takes a significantly more modest approach to the Baroque period. A rare 18th century example of early Danish furniture, this antique writing desk or dining table is sturdily crafted from humble pine featuring simple lines with a stretcher base, a top comprised of four planks, and both front and side drawers for added storage. With charming, authentic patina, this table is an invaluable addition to any interior wrought with history.
