Antique 12ft Regency Revival Triple Pillar Dining Table 19th C

About the Item

This is an elegant antique Regency Revival dining table that can comfortable seat twelve people and 19th Century in date. The table has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion and it stands on three "gun barrel" triple leg bases which are fitted with brass toes and castors. The table top is of beautiful flame mahogany and there is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining table which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times. The chairs shown in the photographs are not included in the price, but are available if required. THE BOTANICAL NAME FOR THE MAHOGANY THIS ITEM IS MADE OF IS SWIETENIA MACROPHYLLA AND THIS TYPE OF MAHOGANY IS NOT SUBJECT TO CITES REGULATION. Condition: In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation. Matching his words to his work, Sheraton designed much mahogany furniture. The qualities that impressed Sheraton are particularly evident in a distinctive pattern of wood called "flame mahogany." The flame figure in the wood is revealed by slicing through the face of the branch at the point where it joins another element of the tree. Our reference: A2930.
