Antique French ROUND Dining Hunt Game Table Carved Oak Black Forest Pedestal.
Direct from France, a large and substantial 19th century hand carved round table!
Superior carvings, craftsmanship and artistry; the huge turned pedestal has carved panels between the three dimensional carved griffins with Black Forest fruits, nuts and foliage extending to the paw feet, with casters for ease in moving.
The large, solid oak top (approx. 4.5 ft. diameter.) has a carved beveled edge over the thick oak apron. Heavy and solid; underneath are the original extension slides and drop-down legs to support the table, which could expand to over 10 ft. with leaves (not included). circa1880.
Measurements: 28.5” ht. x 55” x 53.5”. Leg clearance 24.5”.
