Antique Neo Renaissance Cherrywood French honey color Extension tab

About the Item

Offered here is an antique draw-leaf table made in France around 1870. The table is entirely crafted in cherry wood and is richly adorned with classical ornaments originating from the Renaissance period. The stylized acanthus motifs, the geometric pattern on the framework, and the baluster legs are characteristic of the Renaissance style. In its compact form, the table is 50.4 inches long, and through an ingenious extension system, the table can be extended each time with an additional leaf of 19.7 inches to a maximum length of 129.1 inches. The table is equipped with a sliding center leg, which provides sufficient support so that the table does not sag even when fully extended. The solid cherry wood tabletops are of a later date than the base. The tabletops have been cleaned and refinished in our own workshop to match the base. A modern lacquer finish has been chosen, which is easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild household cleaners. The table has a beautiful warm honey color with a deep gloss. The table smoothly extends to the desired size and is very stable. This exceptional table is clean, sturdy, and ready for use.
