The new series of collectible design tables is born from the collaboration between 2 brands: Colé Italia and Giannoni & Santoni.
The iconic metal legs designed by Aksu / Suardi for Colé Italia enhance the unique material tops made by artist/craftsman Venio Santoni.
We present on 1stDibs a series of tables in different colors are inspired by the evocative photographs of Aurelio Amendola for his latest retrospective creating a perfect combination of craftsmanship, art and design. The table in the listing is blue.
Each table is a unique piece and the pictures tell the complex production process. The metal base is composed by 4 steel curved pivoting legs with 2 sizes, asymmetrically positioned. The top is an overlap of various layers of different materials. A first layer of wood, framed by a black metal edge, acts as a support for a manually poured cement surface which forms the pattern of the design. It is then painted by hand and finally the liquid resin is poured, which solidifies and creates the wonderful effect of a lunar surface, set under a layer of transparent resin.
This table have been presented in September 2023 in an art gallery in Pietrasanta (Tuscany). An installation of 3 pieces in different colors and on the walls the pictures of the renewed Italian photographer Aurelio Amendola.

Venio Santoni. Recycling materials discarded from company production or forgotten on the street is the challenge that Venio Santoni, within the company Giannoni & Santoni has launched a functional art, sometimes also of pure communication. Santoni, in addition to being an excellent decorator, is an "eclectic" artist who, thanks to his genius, manages to transforming everyday objects into true works of art. Active in the field of art since he was young, he has participated in numerous collective and personal exhibitions to the point of creating particular works for the staging of large events such as the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico.
Giannoni & Santoni is a Tuscan company ,leader in the general contractor and artistic finishing sector that deals with 360-degree construction projects, offering restyling, renovation and design solutions. After over half a century of activity along a company path made of craftsmanship, manual skill and scientific approach, the company has become a point of reference for architects, designers and artists oriented towards the creation of spaces with high architectural and creative value. A dialogue in finishes and tailor-made projects that allows artists to evolve, experiment and diversify their artistic production, sometimes with completely unexpected implications, capable of guaranteeing and creating unique results.
