Bent Helweg-Møller: Rectangular dining table with three leaves c1930

About the Item

Rectangular dining table made of padouk wood with extension for three pine leaves (the pine leaves are of a different wood type and colour and assume a table cloth is used when extended). Made circa 1930s by cabinetmaker Jørgen Christensen. L. 140./308 cm. W. 100 cm. H. 75 cm. Similar table with same type of legs and rail designed by Helweg-Møller, manufactured by Jørgen Christensen for Berlingske Hus, 1930. Literature: Tidskriftet “Arkitekten” 1930, pp. 161–192.

This table has been attributed by some sellers on 1stdibs and some experts to Helge Vestergaard Jensen. I have in my possession both the table documented as designed by Helge Vestergaard Jensen (not for sale in this listing) and, obviously, this table for sale here in this listing.
