About the Item

his vintage oak table embodies the spirit of Henning Kjaernulf's celebrated furniture design. Its brutalist aesthetic, marked by intricate leg carvings, is beautifully complemented by a rounded tabletop that softens its bold presence. In excellent vintage condition, the table moves effortlessly and feels incredibly stable, with just a hint of patina adding character, as evident in the photos. Measuring 159 cm by 120 cm and standing at a comfortable height of 74.5 cm, it offers the perfect proportions for a modern dining table. Each additional leaf extends the length by 50 cm, making it ideal for larger gatherings. When fully extended, the table can easily accommodate six, eight, or even ten guests, providing ample space for a memorable dinner party. Designed by Kjaernulf, a master of 20th-century Danish design, the table seamlessly blends the timeless appeal of mid-century modern with the rustic charm of Danish baroque. Its versatile proportions make it equally suitable for a kitchen or dining room setting. With two extension leaves in oak veneer and the rest of the table crafted from solid oak, this piece combines functionality with enduring elegance. The wood is in outstanding condition, with all components solid and stable. Extending the table and inserting the leaves is a smooth process, though we recommend two people for the task to ensure ease and safety. The extra leaves have a very beautiful color and match the rest of the table. Even though that it do look a little lighter on the photographs. We do have very affordable shipping prices to the US. Please reach out for any questions.
