Dining table by Guillerme and Chambron, 1960, France

About the Item

Oak table in Guillerme and Chambron oak, inlaid top. This table is extendable. It has two extensions 90 cm long and 35 cm wide. If you wish, it has six original oak chairs that you can see on my portal. It is in good condition. Historique: Robert GUILLERME (1013-1990) & Jacques CHAMBRON (1914-2001) met on the front during the Second World War. Robert Guillerme is a decorator, Jacques Chambron, a graduate in Applied Art, is a decorator painter. In 1949, in the middle of the reconstruction period, they decided to join forces to create Vos Maison. Their objective is to produce quality wooden furniture with Dariosecq cabinetmaking. Guillerme draws, Chambron manages customer relations, the Dariosecq workshop manufactures. From 1953, the ceramics of Boleslaw DANIKOWSKI (1928-1979), very typical of the 70s, brightened up their creations. Jacques Chambron's son, Hervé, joined the team in 1973 and took over from 1983 when his elders retired. Their proposals are quite unique and aim to produce comfortable and practical everyday furniture. Their furniture is rarely reduced to a single function: their shelves or bedside tables form lamps, the tables unfold, a magazine rack makes another piece of furniture even more useful... The manufacturing quality is always there with solid oak furniture and careful details that pass the years without a hitch. Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron
