Early 20th Century Oak and Pine Table

About the Item

A early 20th century table with tapered square legs. Rectangular table frame in oak consisting of 4 tapered square legs, frame with drawer at one end and a pine top protruding all round. Great puristic design, reminiscent of the furniture of renowned modern designers (e.g. Pierre Jeanneret). The clear lines in combination with the texture and patina of the old wood create an exceptionally beautiful symbiosis. Dimensions: 76.5 cm high / 30.11 inch high, 200.5 cm wide / 78.93 inch wide, 80 cm deep / 31.49 inch deep. Height to the frame: 63 cm / 24.8 inch. Good authentic condition with signs of age and use including old woodworm channels (nothing active!) and a drying crack along the top. The table legs have been extended to bring the table to a good dining table height. Completely resealed smooth surface.
