French Carved Antique Walnut & Elm Trestle Dining Table with Fleur de Lys Decor
About the Item
This elegant dining table was crafted in the Pyrenees of France using antique timbers, and following an 18th century design. Over 8 feet long, the large table sits on a trestle base, supported by hand carved turned baluster form support legs ending with molded shoe base, and connected with a thick cross stretcher. The rectangular top built with old walnut and elm wood, features an exquisite decor with a rectangular acacia marquetry band, and embellished with a Classic carved Fleur-de-Lys motif in each corner. The long and wide Louis XIII style farm table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina throughout, with beautiful natural distress. The table would easily accommodate eight to ten people. A true one of a kind!
