About the Item
The Fuga table is a sculptural table with timeless elegance. Each base is handcrafted in Belgium from four identical solid cast bronze elements that are artistically welded into a continuous, organically shaped sculpture. The bronze is patinated and the central curved line is polished to amplify the movement.
The table is named Fuga since this creative process is strikingly analogous to the composition of a musical fugue.
Just like the famous musician Yo-Yo Ma explains: “So a fugue is a beautiful musical puzzle based on just one tune. And when you layer this tune on top of itself, it starts to change and turns into a beautiful new structure.“
The curves of the double base flow in a continuous movement.
The glass table top allows the sculptural base to be the star.
With its oblong shape this Fuga table serves as a sculptural console table.
This table has a double cast bronze base and a oblong shaped glass top.
Each base of the table is made of 4 identical solid cast bronze parts that are artistically welded together, sanded and then finished with a brown patina with the central curve polished.
Given the artisanal manufacturing small variations in dimensions and finishes may apply.
