Live Edge Grolier Table: Cast Bronze Table Inspired by Nature’s Organic Branches

About the Item

The Grolier Dining Table by Barlas Baylar is a bespoke piece inspired by nature’s organic branches and designed by Barlas Baylar with an architectural approach. This table is a Hudson classic design. The hand-made, Cast Bronze base is created using an old World sand casting molding process. The table is created in silicon bronze which consists of higher levels of copper alloy , giving the bronze a rich, warm bronze look. The table base is complimented by a beautiful Patina Bronze finish. The solid-slab, Live Edge Walnut top is created from old growth collected, salvaged trees that are domestic to the US. Many of these are several hundred years old and are precious finds. Once they are carefully cut, they are dried over several years’ time in order to cure and age in a highly precise, climate-controlled manner. This creates a remarkable depth of color and deep rich graining, with characteristics that cannot be created with new woods, or a rushed process. The result is a unique and phenomenal expression of design, materials and craftsmanship that will compliment any setting. Produced to order.
