Macramê Table
About the Item
Tradition, culture, history and memory. Elements linked to the design of the Macramé Table to praise the inspiration in the manual weaving technique that comes from distant times and lands beyond the sea. Forged in stainless steel, the structural base of the design reflects the inspiration in the loops of the threads that dance between the fingers to give body to patterns finished by knots. The poetic coming and going - under the effect of the light that passes through the translucent glass top - casts a shadow of enveloping movement. Contemporary soul design with the warmth of craftsmanship that do not bend in haste.
Materials: Stainless steel and nautical rope.

Sergio J. Matos
Sérgio J. Matos, 43, born in Paranatinga, a small town in the state of Mato Grosso, specializes in authorial design, furniture, objects and scenography. He has been performing this function for 12 years, but professionally, since the opening of his studio in 2010. The fact that he was born in a region close to the Xingu indigenous reserve, surrounded by the natural diversity of the forest, learned early on to be curious to know , admire and observe this culture, which awoke and stimulated him to look for ways to work with these natural materials and colors extracted from nature.
