About the Item

Mid-Century Modern Danish teak drop-leaf dining table by Kurt Østervig for Jason Møbler, 1960s. This spectacular Danish teak "Gateleg" dining table was designed by Kurt Østervig for Jason Møbler. Features an oval top over sculptural folding V-legs. A stunning large oval table with beautifully teak, the top can be wholly open to form a large oval or either one, or both flaps can be dropped to form a smaller table with the ability to put the flapped down end against a wall making a nice semi elliptical table or a smaller almost rectangular table when both flaps are down. A feature of this design is the cleverly made 'rule joint' between the flaps and the top, which is produced to form alternating blocks on the top and the flap making a visually much more interesting piece. The leaves drop for optimum space-saving, and the table can be configured with both leaves up or down, or a single leaf up at a time. Expands up to 76.75" W. Each leaf measures 24" W, so without leaves the table alone is 28.75" W. We are completely transparent regarding the condition of the used items we sell. We do not use stock photos in our listings.
