Plush Garden is a visual research on plants as ambiguous objects of
trade and well-being. Since 2020, Alexandre studies the consensual
unthreatening image of nature displayed in contemporary pop culture,
specifically in the Kawaii visual language. He focused his research on
the public design sphere, then picked an interest in the context of domestic
space. The studies focus on the heavily manufactured forms taken by
nature in our contemporary environment and the emergence of a new typology
of ecosystems.
The DINING ROOM series consists of an ongoing collection of distinct
floral pieces that repurpose the design tools commonly used to target
a young audience. They display an elementary structure, together with
unusual visual combinations. In each piece, Alexandre associates visual
elements referring to biophilic design, 17th-century home decor, 3+ rated
video games, or public kindergartens.

Alexandre Delasalle
Alexandre Delasalle is a 27-year-old artist and designer based in Paris. He completed design studies at Ecole Boulle and Design Academy Eindhoven. He works primarily with printed matter, product design, installation, and video. Drawing inspiration from diverse sources within popular culture, Alexandre has developed a unique and visually compelling design approach.
