A Walnut Oval Dining Table in the English Regency Style c. 1940

About the Item

An oval dining table in the English Regency style featuring a walnut top and matching solid walnut extension leaves. The table stands on six round, tapered legs, each detailed with carved faux bamboo turnings. Additional faux bamboo elements accent the apron and corner brackets where the legs join. The table expands via an adjustable slide mechanism mounted to the underside. Two center support legs, also styled with faux bamboo turnings, offer stability when the table is fully extended. The slide system accommodates one to four extension leaves, each measuring approximately 47.5 inches deep by 19.75 inches wide. The apron is finished to match the table’s top, creating a seamless look when fully extended. The legs can be modified to extend from the underside from 1 inch to 1.5 inches.
