1960s Free-Form Purpleheart End Tables

About

It is rare to see an entire piece of furniture created in purpleheart, the exotic South American hardwood. It is primarily used for embellishment pieces, such as trim or inlays, due to the cost of the wood. These lovely tables are organic shaped, resembling natural plant forms. They are stabilized with brushed aluminum plates at the floor. The tables are reverse images of one another. Both have been satin refinished, and display beautifully.
