Add a touch of elegance to your living space with this remarkable set of National Mt. Airy Biedermeier Style drum form nightstands/bedside tables that could also serve as dry bar cabinets, side tables, or lamp tables. Heirloom-quality furniture that will last a lifetime. Each piece expertly crafted features a sleek round black marble top, supported by a cylinder form base. A single storage drawer with a petite brass ring pull over two lower cabinet doors adorned with brass hardware open to a storage area. Ebonized trim detailing complete the timeless look. Finished on all sides with a subtle intentionally aged patina on the finish. Marked ‘National Mt. Airy’ to the interior of the top drawer. These tables offer a relaxed, sophisticated style that blends classic elements and contemporary lines.
Mount Airy of North Carolina's roots go back to 1888 when the lumber and woodworking industry was booming. They had three large factories and quickly evolved into specialized furniture suites. They enjoyed a successful run until 1997 when a fire completely destroyed their facilities.
Biedermeier was an influential German style of furniture design that evolved from 1815–1848. Biedermeier was devoted to comfort and simplicity, most often constructed along classical lines.
