19th Century French Louis XVI Giltwood Marble Top Lamp Table ~ End Table
About the Item
19th Century French Louis XVI Giltwood Marble Top Lamp Table ~ End Table is a great choice for a more formal decor, providing a carefree yet elegant surface of Carrara marble ideal for lamps, accessories, drinks, and more. The marble is surrounded by very detailed egg & dart molding which transitions to the apron pierce-carved to depict flowing ribbon and floral sprays. Each apron is framed by rectangular rosettes under which appear tapered and fluted legs joined together again by a caned shelf below. At that juncture the corner blocks feature round rosettes with ball and taper style feet. The gold finish has attained a lovely patina over the course of the past century, making it even more visually appealing!
