A charming and fine quality antique English oak joint stool style tiered tavern table with nicely aged dark rich warm patina. Born in England in the 19th century, hand-crafted, the well made countryside table having a rectangular serpentine shaped top with molded beveled edge and elaborate hand-carved incised scroll decoration, rising on four hand-turned baluster supports, joined by medial lower tier under-shelf with molded shaped apron, over simple box stretcher, terminating on hand turned feet. As warm and attractive as it is useful, finished on all four sides for easy placement anywhere in the room, having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a side table, occasional table, display pedestal or tiered etagere, plant stand, bedside nightstand, cocktail drinks or tea table, to name just a few. Dimensions: 28.5" High, 20" Wide, 14.5" Deep Good original antique condition. Presents splendidly, with rich, warm antique oak glow, superb grain detail, desirable distressed patina acquired from nearly 200 years of age and use. Structurally sound, solid, sturdy and stable.
