(This piece can be wall mounted) Please see other listings from this collection. -Offcut collection by Lærke Ryom in Denmark explores the aesthetics of end grain and is made with the intention of emphasizing the potential and value of the byproduct from Dinesen’s flooring production. The rhythmic shapes, characterizing the fourteen objects, originates from the existing width and sizes determined by the production. Considering the patterning appearing when offsetting and stacking material elements, the collection pays tribute to the natural ornamentation of the grain. Both shape and ornament thereby originate from the material itself, offering a new aesthetic perspective and experience of the familiar material.
