Pair of Curved Rosewood Art Deco Waterfall Nightstands End Tables

About the Item

Everyone here on team FMV adores these sinuous serpentine end tables. We don't know much (if anything) about the origin, maker or designer, but they're awesome nonetheless. This is a mirrored image set, which leads us to believe they were originally intended as oversized bedside tables. Notwithstanding, these pieces could be used in virtually any room, and for limitless applications. Side tables, end tables, cocktail tables or dry-bars to name a few. Similar to the Henredon "Scene Two" deco revival style from 1970's, mixed with classic Modern. The trademark waterfall edges and heavy lacquer finish are reminiscent of the 1940's art deco esthetics, with the exotic allure of rosewood. Behold the fiery, cathedral grain on the rosewood. This dazzling pattern is intentional and effective. Beautifully finished on all sides and stunning from every angle. The sculpted drawers with silver metal ball pulls, provide adequate storage while remaining sleek and sexy. The construction, fit and finish are second to none.

  • Pair of Post Modern White and Gun Metal Gray Chrome Nightstands by Lane
    By Raymond Loewy, Lane Furniture
    Located in Chattanooga, TN
Sleek pair of vintage 1980s Post Modern white nightstands by Lane. Stylish and hearty construction, hallmarks of Lane. These nightstands have white enamel painted wood cases and white laminate (Formica) top surfaces. As you can see, there is a slight patina to the white enamel paint. The body of the nightstands appears a slightly warmer ivory color while the laminate tops are pure white. This subtle patina is due to age. The Nineteen-Laties nightstands exhibit elements of Neo Deco...

  • Raymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Nightstand by Broyhill Premier
    By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
    Located in Chattanooga, TN
Well it’s 2023, and Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy orginals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. The restoration team pulled no punches on this nightstand, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of the wood body and base was professionally sanded, primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and dark lime green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. It’s tough to see these go, but we know it will be loved. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Nightstand...
