About the Item
Antique Painted Farm House Table with Tapered Legs that comfortably seats (14) for dinner. Although this particular huge Painted European Farm House Dining Table was found in Ireland, we’d guess that it may have had its roots in France or possibly Italy. When we pulled the Farm Table out of our ocean shipping container, you could quickly see that it was well used and that’s an understatement, with little to no maintenance for the last 100-plus years. Fortunately, our inhouse Old Plank woodworking department set about to completely disassemble the Painted Farm Table and rebuild it from the frame up. Since the Dining Table was now in pieces, we thought it prudent to make it a bit wider, so the top surface is exactly 2-boards wider than it was born. If you’re familiar with old European Farm House Tables, they have a tendency to be on the narrow side. As luck with have it, we just happened to have some old matching wide boards that blended seamlessly which made the Farm Table much more user friendly and visually undetectable.
