This striking Italian game table from the 1950s serves a dual purpose, functioning as both a centerpiece and a host for lively game evenings. The top is intricately made characterized by an embossed pattern of carved squares, imparting the piece with a graphic allure. The base's framework contains a crisscrossing structure of sculptural quality, with four angled legs and beams that extend outward from a central circular support. With a simple gesture, the tabletop rolls or lifts to reveal a hidden gaming section complete with roulette, chessboard, poker, bridge, and nine men's morris. A piece of furniture that is both literally playful and elegantly refined.
