Pair of Mid 19th Century Swedish Naturalistic Birch Gueridons

About the Item

Pair of Swedish naturalistic birch guéridons made in northern Sweden around the mid 19th century. The tables are unique and hand-crafted where the columns are made from a branch of birch with the bark still intact. The branches are straight from nature with an organic and natural shape. The tables have three feet each and both have a rounded table top. The textile on the table top and around are original to the tables. The fabric has some wear after almost 200 years of use. The pair is one of a kind with a unique expression with the added dimension of being genuine antiques.
